Today I’m home from work sick… I loathe this. I hate everything about it. Every part of you feeling blah. Your body aching. No matter how many times you brush your teeth your mouth still feels horrid. Btw, wtf is that white crap that builds up on your tongue when you’re sick? I’m afraid I know but don’t want to believe it… ew.

It’s always at the worst times that I get sick. It’s been ~ 8 months since the last time I was feeling bad so I guess I’m due. Last time was just before the holidays. This time is right at the end of a big project… of course.

So yeah. I’m sick. Fever. Body aches. Can’t sleep yet uber tired.

I guess I don’t really have a point for this - - I’m just bitching about feeling like hell.

…I’m not exactly sure how I survived this week.

Monday = one of the most stressful days I’ve had in a very long time.

Tuesday = Monday + Tuesday all in one.  1st of month and billing excitement at work.

Wednesday = Pains with our CRM vendor at work start to surface.

Thursday = CRM pains snap and we start “action”.  Oh ya - our site dies for 30 mins.

Friday = today.  wow.  I made it.  The best part of today.  Exactly two weeks from this VERY MINUTE we’ll be in DFW on layover en route to Puerto Vallarta.  Holy shit.  Two weeks.  There’s so much to do pre-vaca…  :-)  it’s the good kind of to-do list, though.

Resolutions, if you must.  Perhaps more of a to-do list.

• Better plan vacations
  • Current:  I’m bored…  you want to go to Puerto Vallarta?
  • Future:  Let’s tour Brazil in 2009 and start planning now.
• New car.  Perfect car = fuel efficient AND stylish/luxury.  I can’t keep my current one…  it sucks gas like it’s going out of style and… pfft… the door needs to be fixed.
  • Realistic options:  fuel efficient OR stylish/luxury.
• Find ways to (regularly) recycle at home.  Must be easy or it won’t work.
• Reduce.  Water bill by 10% (we’re already pretty efficient).  Electricity bill by 15-20%.
• Take more pictures!!  Took several thousand in 2007; some of which were beautifully printed and framed.  Do more.  Take more.  Print more.
• Stay sane at work.  Double team and maintain hairline.

There’s probably more, however, that’s a realistic list.  I mean I could say things like quit smoking.  But I don’t smoke…  or swear less.  But… remember this is realistic.  There ya have it boys & girls.  Hold me to it.

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season.  I’m so happy it’s over. 

I just did ALL my xmas shopping at once via amazon.com.  Whole kit.  Everything.  In my boxers.  Ok - so that last part might have been TMI but whatever.

The end total was…  um…  scary.  But, it’s done.  Good news = it will be here before xmas.  Great news = shipping was crazy cheap ($20 for a crud-ton of “stuff”).  Awesome news = many hundreds of $’s spent with no tax.

The internet is cool.  This is so going to catch on!

Ya!  We snagged sneak preview / early release tickets to see The Golden Compass tonight (it’s set to release everywhere on Dec 7th).

Ahh… now is the time of year when we look back, reflect, and ask ourselves - - What the heck are we celebrating?!  Oh ya!  Two days off work.  Mmm.  Nice.
