•  30.8 million adults living with HIV at the end of 2007
• 2.5 million children living with HIV at the end of 2007
• During 2007, some 2.5 million people became infected
  • Almost 7,000/day!
• The year also saw 2.1 million deaths from AIDS
• Around half of the people who acquire HIV become infected before they turn 25 and typically die of the life-threatening illnesses called AIDS before their 35th birthday
• The total number of people living in the USA with HIV/AIDS is thought to be between 1,039,000 and 1,185,000

This isn’t a “gay disease”…  it isn’t someone else’s problem…  It’s in your neighborhood and, if not safe, anyone can get it.    Learn the facts, people.
