Updates…

Alrighty boys & girls… it’s that time - it’s been about a week or so since my last update so I guess it’s time for another ’round of “what the crap is Carl up to…”

First off - I now have a new job! I’ve been interviewing with a growing technology company in the area for the past month and was officially offered a position *and* accepted it as of this past weekend. Beginning the first of the year I will be the Technical Operations Manger of Broadwick! Over the past month of interviews I’ve been able to meet a number of the employee’s there as well as learn quite a bit about the company… I can honestly say that I’m excited to join their team! They’re growing quickly and are pointed in the direction of good things to come!!

Whew… now that the important ’stuff’ is taken care of… lol.

This past weekend we saw the North Carolina Ballet’s version of The Nutcracker. Not quite as spectacular as the version I saw a few years ago in Texas performed by the visiting Russian Ballet, however, I have to say that I was greatly impressed!! We had 4th row center seats - I’m sure that helped. As an added bonus - rather than the usual theater orchestra present to perform the music - they had the NC Symphony in house to perform for this weekend only! How’s that for a bonus! With us being in the 4th row… the stage AND symphony performances were both fantastic.

Also this weekend - we saw Eragon. Unfortunately, I didn’t not feel quite as great about this as I did the ballet. :-\ It felt “tired” and very choppy. I found myself bored & wondering why certain parts were in the movie whilst other areas were quickly glossed over… oh well. I agree 100% with the Yahoo! movie ratings of ‘C’.

And THAT boys & girls - is my weekend. As per usual - I’ll be out with the other boys at Flying Saucer tonight for the usual Monday night beers. Mmmm…
