Catching Up

Alrighty… I’ve had a few things in mind to toss onto here for a few days now and haven’t really sat down to accomplish this. So - here goes. One truly misc. post.

First off - It was a very sad day on the 11th when Billionaire Sidney Frank died. Mr. Frank became a hero to many alcoholics when he started the first super-premium Vodka Grey Goose as well as introducing Jägermeister to the college crowd. …join me in raising a martini in his name.

Ok - now that the somber news is out of the way and I’m warm with a martini - how ’bout a bit of random non-sense? Check out File Swap. General idea behind it….? Give them a file & receive a random file from someone else in return. I easily ate up a good bit of useless time when I made my first contribution of this…. (click for larger)

I laughed and felt it was a fair trade. I would like to apologize to those out there that are the unlucky receipients of some of the more *unusual* files that I uploaded.
Speaking of unusual!! I think someone might’ve officially replace Grandma and her knitting. What do you get when you mix lots of free time…. lego’s…. yarn…. and a bit of creativity? Well I know *I’ve* always wondered that. Thankfully - our answer has arrived. The knitting lego machine! Don’t believe me? Take a peek at this video. It’s a bit slow but I’m sure once the design is sold to Microsoft and the they apply SP2 - impressive speed will be recognized. Now all those sweatshop workers in Asia and poor little ol’ Grandma have been officially put out of business. Technology wins again!

On the topic of technology winning… Check this car out! Good Lord - - I’ve GOT to have that. That makes my poor little ol’ BMW look like a waste of metal. Ok - maybe not a waste of metal… but still! Hot damn! Radar system - automated acceleration & braking - night vision…. :: drool ::

Ok - enough with the fun stuff. I’ll now leave you with this. Imagine, if you will, that someone visit’s a Burger King & robs it. A short while later, said person visit’s same Burger King again, however, this time it’s for a job interview. Now imagine that this guy is hired. To top it all off - picture the look of shock that some poor employee had when they came into work one day and found that their new coworker had robbed ‘em last week! As insane as it sounds - it happened. Sigh. Why oh why do I keep reading/watching the news?

Alright alright - enough with the insanity. I’m off to finish my martini and continue my celebration of the life of Sidney Frank.

p.s. - oh ya… I changed the look of the site (obviously!). I think I like it. Not sure yet…. still too early to tell. Let me know if it moves you for better or worse.
